After defying the odds with an incredible and unbelievable fight Joanne was called back home on August 15, 2019 surrounded by family at the Juravinski Hospital at the age of 78. Loving wife of the late Cornelis. Loving mother of Ronald(Charlotte), Richard(Peaches), and Jason(Rhonda), and the late Teresa. Loving Oma and Great Oma of many. Joanne will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (Between Mohawk and Fennell) on Friday August 23, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 12 p.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
