Passed away peacefully in his 89th year at Heritage Green Nursing Home on April 3, 2019. Predeceased by his loving wife Edith. Father of the late Vic and Joe (Donna). He will be missed by his sons Walter Jr. (Mary), George (Carol), Roy (Maureen), Tom (Lori), and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Walter was a long-time member of Veterans Service League on Main St. E. and an avid hunter and fisherman. Special thanks to the staff at Heritage Green Nursing Home for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (1919 King St. E. between Rosedale and Cochrane) on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
