February 24, 1929 – March 26, 2019
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ward at the age of 90. Born and raised in Hamilton. His passions included playing Big 4 fastball, woodworking, western music, anything Disney (especially Mickey) and above all hanging with his grandchildren & great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, Charles & Catharine, infant brother Donny, his sister Mary (Lloyd) & Sister-in-law Mary Young. He’s survived by his wife Kathlyne, brother Ken, beloved father of Jan, Greg, Jo-Anne (Steve), Cindy (Doug), Robert, Kathy (Ken), Paul. He will be remembered lovingly by his grandchildren Jim (Cheri), Jason (Tiennette), Lindsay (Chris), Corey, Kenny, Kaitlyn, Kirsten, Jarod, 8 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great-grandchildren, as well as his nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place on April 13 at PX Dermody Funeral Home 796 Upper Gage Avenue from 1:00 – 4:00. We would like to thank the staff at Westmount Terrace & Macassa Lodge for their outstanding care and heartfelt compassion. In lieu of flowers if desired donations to a charity of your choice in his name would be appreciated by the family.
