Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Lewine Anker can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her children. Lewine now joins her beloved, Johnny. Loving mother of Paula(Robert), Patty(Bob), Chris(Paula) and Daniel. Special Nanny of Kaitlynd, Jordan, Scott, Zac, Luc, Emily, Gracie, and Julia. Lewine’s love for children allowed her to open her home and heart to more than 100 foster children over the past 30 years. A warm thank you to the staff of Alexander Place for your care and compassion. Lewine will be sadly missed by many. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave. (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Thursday December 14, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 19 Viewpoint Ave. on Friday December 15, 2017 at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
