passed away on March 19 in her 86th year. Dear mother of Linda (late Warren) Cole, David (Susan) Uren, and is predeceased by daughter Susan (Jim) Hendry. Ilene is sister to Jewel (Bob) Gordon and is predeceased by her sisters Leone Creechan, June Matyas, and brother Harry Darrel. She was a special “Granny” to Michael, Scott, Sarah, and Stephanie and Great Granny to Andrew, Anthony, Michael and Olivia. The family extends a special thank you to all the staff of Emmanuel House for the loving care and friendship given freely, not only to mom but to all of us during her stay. The world is a better place because of all of you. Visitation will be at the P. X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1919 King Street East, Hamilton on Tuesday March 20 from 7-9 p.m. with a service on Wednesday March 21 in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
